The Featherlite Smock is the original ultra minimalist windshirt. It has a two-way front zip, and a combination of PERTEX® Microlight fabrics for complete windproofness. It remains one of the lightest, smallest packed and most breathable winshirts in the world, provides high levels of weather protection with minimal weight penalty.

Used this on Final ex at Catterick and many exercises since. Single layer pertex it is waterproof and light! I have worn it under my smock when on recce's when noisy gore-tex is out (and as it's non insulaing you can wear it for the tab in without passing out!). However the most useful piece of kit in my bergen earns its stripes when on Stag. Wear it under your smock to stop the sweat that has been sucked up by your cotton CBA cover during daytime use (patroling/tabbing etc) soaking back into your dry kit and freezing your back. Stop the gibbering forever and it weighs less than a bag of Haribo and provides more morale!!
